On this guided walking tour in Venice's central San Marco neighborhood, you'll take some of the less-travelled streets and discover the so-called “Minor Venice.” Your tour includes the exteriors of the famous opera house Teatro La Fenice, the architectural gem of the "Scala del Bovolo", and the Grand Canal and Rialto Bridge - from a different point of view.

During this walk your our guide will share anecdotes and historical events from the life of the Venetians, from past to present. Discover some of the hidden pearls of Venice as you walk through the narrow streets on this route through so-called “Minor Venice.”
Your itinerary includes a visit of the exterior of the famous Teatro La Fenice, site of many legendary opera premieres. Since being named “La Fenice” (Italian for “Phoenix”), the opera house has burned down and rebuilt twice.
Your route will also include a look at the external spiral staircase (“Scala del Bovolo”), of the elegant Palazzo Contarini-del Bovolo.
Your tour will end at the Grand Canal and Rialto, which you will see from a spectacular point of view.
